Saute Cucumber

Posted December 24, 2010 by Scott K
This is a delicious, light side dish that can go with a lot of different main dishes. My personal favorite is with lighter flavored dishes like white fish, chicken, or salmon.

Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Medium Cucumber Sliced thin, no reason to remove skin
  • 1/4 cup White Onion Small dice or chop fine
  • 1/4 cup Celery Small dice
  • Salt to taste small pinch
  • White pepper small pinch
  • 1/2 clove Garlic fine dice or 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Serves 2+ People
Heat a small saute pan or skillet then add butter, seasonings. Do not let brown. Add cucumber and move in the pan by stirring or tossing until the cucumber starts to become slightly translucent. The cucumber will be slightly tender. Plate.
